Bad news

Dear friends,

I received today the very bad news that one of the friends that I met in Romania during my world travel, Catalin Morariu, is missing because of a natural disaster that happened in Lardach-Lech (Kashmir). He was on an expedition with three other friends (two boys and a girl, Henriette) from India to Nepal. I was very sad and shocked to find out that Henriette was found dead. Until now nobody could find any trace of Catalin Morariu. The other two friends with were with them in the expedition, Catalin Neascu and Cristian Tzecu have decided to leave India this Sunday.

The mother of Catalin Morariu found a hand-made painting that I left him as a sign of friendship and asked a friend to write me (as she doesn’t speak English) in a desperate attempt to find some help somewhere. The family knows some contacts of the persons that Catalin Morariu met or was hosted by during his travelling in India:

1. Ragu Ram 00919750000000 / 00919842203000

1. A. VEERADIS S/o K ARIKRISHNAN, Nr. 3, Kamarajar, Savai, Tharagambaoi – TAMIL NADU

If you can help this desperate family find their son, please, act as soon as possible to find him. Catalin Morariu is known for his record to escaladate the 8.000 meters peak Shishapangma in 2005, during one expedition initiated by the Foundation “For You” from Timisoara. His message of social responsibility towards disabled persons reached several associations in Nepal, in the attempt to create a bridge between incapacitated persons all over the world to help them integrate better in the society.
